The hinged rear fork on the model range was designed to combat vibration, the company describing the bicycle as a ‘spring frame.’ The rear spring combined with the forward angle of front fork (below) provides this machine with a unique profile.
I bought this fabulous machine in America in 2016. In 2022 I hired it to a TV production company filming a series for Apple TV. I did not plan to resell it, but I pick half a dozen rare and interesting machines from my collection to add to each of my auctions, and this was part of the selection for my Xmas 2022 auction. It will become one of exhibits at a museum in the USA.
