….with Spring Wheels.
I found this bicycle stored in a barn in France in 2012, alongside an American military bicycle, both used during WW1. It took several years to find the spring wheels, which were used because of a German rubber shortage (Britain controlled the world rubber trade, from Malaya and Ceylon). You can see more pics here –
